You’ll love these homemade Halloween costumes! Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year and I love to dress the family in costumes.

One of the funniest DIY costumes I made was when we were cops and robbers. I got this idea because my daughter used to put all kinds of things on her head like a play butterfly net and tights. I thought she looked like a bank robber, thus our family costume!

This is about the easiest costume you can make. Just put nude hose on your head and stuff a pillow case with newspaper. Stick some fake money on the outside and draw a big dollar sign on the bag. If you have a tiny cop, it’s even funnier.

I’m just now getting photos from Halloween night off my camera! We had a very eventful night, to say the least.

I was sitting outside handing out candy with the garage opener in my hand. After chasing my daughter around and giving gobs of candy to sugar crazed kids… the next thing I know, the garage door opener is gone! I borrowed some flashlights and frantically looked all over the yard. The only thing I can think is that some kid grabbed it from my candy bowl! I know it was in the bowl at some point in the night. So while my family was shivering in the dark waiting on a locksmith to show up to pick our door lock, some kid was digging through his candy and found the weirdest thing anyone has ever put in a kid’s candy bag! Now that was a good trick. LOL!

I’m totally giving away my family Halloween costume by posting this, but I just had to share these awesome masks!! I love do it yourself costumes and I don’t think my costume ideas are going to fly with my son. So I was excited when I found these free printables.

Now the hard choice… should I be R2D2 or Yoda?? Ha! I’m thinking Yoda would be the funniest, although this Yoda mask is kinda creepy. Maybe I’ll go with the droid he’s much cuter.
