I love Valentine’s Day and all of the sweet treats you can find in stores now! As much as I love baking, sometimes when throwing a party there is just no time for homemade baked goods.
I’m always on the lookout for food to use for parties and heart-shaped Little Debbie Valentine’s Day Cakes are the perfect party treat for Valentine’s Day. Plus, I have to admit they are really good!
I designed some cute Free Printable Valentine’s Day tags last year and printed them for an after school snack for my kids. I was going to serve them milk with a few heart cakes on a plate, but then I got the idea of sticking them onto the straw. I didn’t know if they would stay put or not, but they did!
How cute would these Valentine cake straws be at a party?
You could stick the straws in a dish filled with styrofoam for a cute dessert table display. If you did this, I think it would be fun to cover the styrofoam in red hots.
It takes just a minute to add Little Debbie heart cakes to a straw.
- Push the top of a straw through the bottom of the cake.
- Push the cake out of the straw with a wooden skewer.
- Wipe the top of the straw with a paper towel.
Super easy!
Serve the cake straws with a glass of milk and add a “You’re my Sweet Little Cupcake!” Free Printable Tag.
