Backyard Tree House Tour via LivingLocurto.com

If  you’ve been reading my blog this week, you know my husband hired a builder and has been working on a REAL tree house in our yard while we were on vacation in Oklahoma!!

This is the cardboard tree house I had designed. Basically I was thinking wooden shack on a small deck. What we got was WAY better!

I hope you enjoy the tour! We are more than excited about our new tree house. My son’s first reaction was to stop in place, then run back and hug his dad before running off to the tree house.

Dad did an awesome job!! We love him very much!

Over on my Facebook page, there is a discussion going on about what to name the tree house. Here are some good ones:

  • Locurto Loft
  • Locurto Lounge
  • Living Inn Locurto
  • Hoot Inn

Do you have an idea for a tree house name?

  2. WOW!! I just linked my husband to the site to show him the amazing job. He doesn’t know much about handy man work but would love to learn…just not quite there yet. So did your husband help the builder build it or just help design it? Do you mind sharing the builder’s info…I would love to give my kids an awesome tree house like this one, one day. Baby #2 is due next month and my oldest will be 2 in September!

  3. Wow! What awesome skill! I love it… you and the kids will make a ton of memories in the tree house that will last a lifetime.

I don’t have kids but I do have trees and this makes me want to go out and make a tree house… thinking it would make a great “guesthouse” . Thanks for the tour!

  4. So INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a treat to come home to. How are you going to decorate inside?!

  5. I am soooooo jealous of your treehouse! I want one for me!!!!

The only thing that I can remember wanting as a child was a cubby house…at one stage, a friend and I started to build one but it didn’t get very far! We never got one. Guess I’ll have to make sure my kids get one and live vicariously through them!

  6. @Amanda @ Serenity Now,

You should see the inside of the house right now. The tree house makes up for all the cat hair and dust every where:-)

  7. Fabulous…every kid should have a dad that builds him a tree house.
Our Grandchildren love our “Coyote House” I’ve spend many a night sleeping out there with them looking at stars….life doesn’t get any better.
    Lucky boy…fabulous tree home. =)

  8. That is officially the COOLEST tree house EVER!!! My kids would be in heaven. I am sure they will have a blast in there…what a nice Daddy! Now it just needs a Mom’s touch for some decor (although the welcome mat is a nice touch)

  9. WOW!!!! It looks amazing. When I come home, I come home to a messy house and dirty dishes. 😉

  10. @TidyMom,

We were gone for a lot longer than 4 days, but they did an amazing job so quickly! I couldn’t believe it.
