I don’t carve pumpkins anymore, I paint! Because I have small children, this is just the easiest and most fun for them now. My daughter LOVED her Minnie Mouse Pumpkin last year. I have a big pumpkin primed and ready to paint on Halloween. I’ll reveal it soon!
These are some wonderful pumpkins the older girls at my daughter’s school painted. Each year they display their art work and I’m always super impressed with their creativity! Some are painted on plastic pumpkins, perfect for saving for next year.
Dr. Suess is so fun! This is a big gourd sitting on a plastic container, the hat is a paper plate.

If hubs didn’t do such a killer job carving — I’d totally love to paint them! How cute!
Seriously, the man should be a professional pumpkin carver.

We don’t do pumpkins but when and if I ever do, I think I would paint them instead of carve. Yours are adorable! I can’t even pick a favorite.

We definitely carve big pumpkins, but paint little ones
Cute!

Great ideas for painting pumpkins. If I don’t carve them, though, i don’t get to cook up the pumpkin seeds. Coming over from SITS.

What a great idea! We carve pumpkins, but it’s such a mess and always so much clean up. Half the time we don’t even do that good of a job! Maybe next year we’ll just paint. Though I do love the roasted pumpkin seeds part!
That little girl in her costume is precious. I love her total focused expression.

Those are creative ways of decorating pumpkins, we are old fashioned, we just carve them.

Very cute pumpkins. I may have to do a couple more for next yr. Since I don’t have a little any longer I painted mine on a carvable pumpkin last yr. All I had to do was sit it on the front porch.

Super cute painted pumpkins! I haven’t gotten a pumpkin this year. I think I have been too busy trying to get costumes together (and I only have one kid right now!) Came from SITS.

Love the pumpkins! After numerous almost misses with the knife and possible stitches, I think I may paint a pumpkin this year too.

I wish that I could be more creative with my children. They teach me how to stretch my imagination and here is a Halloween Tale to show for it http://www.isdisnormal.com/2009/10/29/spirits-brain/
