“Bubbles” Photo Challenge

This has been one crazy, busy week! Angie and I have been on the phone constantly planning our Dallas Photography Workshop so not much time for bubble photography. I planned to take my kids outside for a photoshoot, but didn’t get the chance. So this one is from my daughter’s Mermaid birthday party.

BlowingCandle

I set it up just right where you could see the pretty table in the background and made one of the kids stand behind her blowing bubbles! I thought it turned out pretty good. We had to make her blow the candle out several times to get it just right! That’s the art director in me… don’t be afraid to try, try again for that great shot. Even if it’s at a birthday party and all the kids are waiting for their cake! ha!

I’m one of the Co-Founders of I ? Faces and doing this just for fun.

Come on over to I ? Faces and share a bubble photo with us!

  1. Love how you set up the shot. Love the tiny bubbles too. I’m joining in for the first time today and look forward to seeing what others came up with.

  2. What a fantastic birthday theme! And the shot is too cute…I just had a dream last night that I annoyed my whole family because we had to keep repeating the scene until I got the perfect shot ~ probably not too far from reality. Funny that I would come here and see that I am not the only one who strives for perfection. I would say you achieved it! 😉 And I have to say that red lipstick makes the picture complete. I LOVE IT!

  3. Ah, I see you, of the clever ideas, know to use cupcakes for toddler birthdays! 🙂 And a mermaid theme is terrific. I bet it was a great success!

  4. fun photo! i love your shots of your daughter – they are always fun 🙂

my photo is posted, too, if you want to come on over for a visit – you are surely welcome :O)

  5. I love this picture! 🙂 And your party was just amazing – so so cute!

ps – I love the workshop idea — I think y’all should have some scholarships for those of us with no money (that’s what happens when you live on support and work in inner-city ministry) 🙂 just an idea!

  6. I just love your picture! Even if it is from a few weeks ago. I was telling my work friend about your party this week. She needed a good idea for her daughters. She told me no way after I told her about the mermaid skirts : ) I tried to tell her they were no sew but she didn’t want any parts of it. See, everyone is not nearly as cool as you and Angie : ) Just in case you were wondering!

  7. I love this shot. I literally lol when you mentioned their was a kid behind the scenes blowing bubbles and you had to relight the candle several times! That makes me feel so much better for not getting the first shot right everytime!

  8. Thanks for giving us a heads up on tomorrow’s topic for I ? Faces, it gave me time to put together an entry! Looking forward to the Back to Scool week and if only I lived in Dallas I would so be joining in on the photo fun!

  9. How perfect! The colors and setting make it look like she’s underwater, and the bubbles totally complete the effect! Awww… 3 seems SO long ago… I love 3. Keep celebrating it… as you know, it goes by SO fast…
