Softest Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

The perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe

I finally made the perfect chocolate chip cookie!!!

I have a friend (you know who you are) who makes the fluffiest cookies that my husband goes nuts over. When I try to make them, they come out flat!

Must be my oven, the pan, or the cookie fairy just does not like me? I’m good at making cakes, not cookies! Well no more… You must try this recipe:-)

The Softest Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 pkg chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Stir baking soda, flour and salt; set aside.
  2. Combine butter, sugars and pudding mix, beating until fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla and egg; beat until smooth.
  4. Add dry ingredients; mix well.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  6. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes.

I heard a long time ago, one of the secrets to making your cookies “fluffier” is to have all of your ingredients room temp – so try taking your egg(s) out to warm up a bit before you make them

That recipe sounds yummy! I’ll have to give it a try! never heard of putting pudding mix in cookie dough! yum!

As for the muffins, I’d have to say i ? chocolate! YUM!
