Felt is fun and so are giveaways!
Posted by Amy | Filed under Contests & Giveaways
I’ve been a fan of Story Time Felts for a long time. So when I met Karen Clark, owner of FunFelt.com, I was excited that she offered to give me a book to review! Yay!
If you’ve never heard of Story Time Felts, it’s a company that makes felt board stories and learning fun. They have so many adorable products. I especially like the personalized photo dress up dolls! All of the Story Time Felts products are great, so consider this a recommendation more than a review:-)
Introducing the Bug Book…
This five page book is fairly large, comes with 43 bug figures and has flaps for your kids to look under for even more critters.
As I was reading the directions, I handed it over to the queen herself to see what she thought. Right away she found the pockets with the bug cutouts inside. I didn’t notice these pockets and thought it just had the flaps! Well, now the book just got WAY better:-)
My daughter had a lot of fun just pulling out all the pieces! Peeking under the flaps also kept her entertained for a while.
I especially liked that it came with a list of all the bugs included in the book with descriptions about each one. This is such a fun learning tool, especially if your kid is into bugs!!
The flower page with the butterflies and bees was my little girl’s favorite. The back page is underground bugs with puzzle shaped felt pieces you can match. She really liked playing on that page as well.
Because she’s two and scatter brained, once she started playing with the felt, she decided she needed to dress her bear!
Her bear is the cutest dress up bear I bought for her 2nd birthday. This is something my son and daughter fight over! So at least now, we have the Bug Book and the Dress Up Bear, one for each:-) We’ve had the Bear for nearly a year and it still looks brand new and believe me… it’s been played with a ton!
I really enjoy our Story Time Felt products and highly recommend them for yourself or gifts. It’s great to support home based businesses as well.
Now you get the chance to try out a Bug Book for yourself!
Karen has generously offered to provide one of you with a Bug Book valued at $39.99!! Thanks Karen:-)

You do know that my son’s nickname on my blog is Bug Hunter, right? As in, that has been his obsession for years! He’s a bit too old for this awesome book now (and it IS my favorite of all that I saw on the site), but he has a boy cousin who is due any day now. What a great gift from Bug Hunter to the newest boy in the family… if I don’t win it, I will certainly have to buy it. As well as passing on the info to my friends…

What lovely books to share and enjoy with a child. My 3 year old grandson is here at our home almost everyday, and he and Grandpa work in the garden. In the afternoon they share quiet time together with a game or book. I know they would love to explore the Bug Activity and the Down on the Farm books! Love the vivid art work and colors in these books. I’m sure the soft texture of the pieces is also a great way to enjoy quiet and relaxing play time. Such a great idea!
