HP Giveaway Contest

Have you heard about the HP Giveaway going on?

Living in Therory is one of the 50 bloggers who is hosting this giveaway! (she’s so cool) She wants to know what we would do with $6,000 worth of equipment.

Man, that’s a LOT of stuff! Of course I want to keep that printer for all my downloads, but I really don’t need it and it would be much better to auction off to make even more money to give!!

If you didn’t know, I just organized a large toy drive for children in my community. We were up until midnight wrapping gifts last night and get to deliver them this weekend! We did a small fundraiser and made enough to buy some toys, but having high priced items like this… man, I can just imagine the amount we could get to raise money for kids and families in need. I would love to be able to provide not just one of these computers to a student, but raise enough funds to give one to MANY students! How fun would that be?

So basically, my idea is to take these items and use them for an auction or raffle to benefit families, schools and children in my community. I would probably research local charities also. I’m very passionate about small business and would love to help someone start their own business by providing funds or even a new computer and software. Right now, I’m brain dead from working on our toy drive, but I if I won this. I’m sure I would wake right up and GET TO WORK on ideas!! There is NOTHING better than giving:-)

I’m not getting my hopes up, but if you judges are reading this… my church and MOPS (mother’s of preschoolers) group is already providing over 400 children with toys this Christmas. If I can get that going, think of what I could do with your $6,000 worth of equipment! WOW!
