Best Mommy Award

I want to interrupt the Halloween Party to announce a new segment of my blog.
The Best Mommy Award!!
This award goes to the mom who goes above and beyond her normal mommy duties and deserving of a big shout out! A few of my blog friends tease each other about getting the mommy award when we do something extra crafty or survive a kid catastrophe, so I thought I would create a real life award. When I re-design my site next month, I will have an entire page dedicated to these moms, plus a place for you to nominate the mom of your choice.
I’m excited to present my very first award to artist and mommy extraodinaire
Dawn Papandrea-Khan
Dawn is an artist and decorative painter in New York. She is also a wife and mother of 2 small children (ages 2 & 3) and expecting her 3rd in early November. Dawn has several web sites about painting, but my personal favorite is her Nursery Murals blog. I wish I had known about this when I was working on my nursery! Not only is she the author of this site, she maintains a decorative painting business and virtual assistant business. I follow Dawn on Twitter and chose her for my very first mommy award because I’m always amazed at what she is tweeting about! I’m not kidding, this mom does it all… homemade dinners, several small businesses, mommy duty, wife duty, leads a bible study, paints and decorates, maintains a great blog! WOW! You go girl! Did I mention she has 2 preschoolers and another baby due very soon baby?? I’m doing good to get out the door with my kids dressed and a shower each day! ha.
Congratulations Dawn, you deserve this award. I wish you all the luck with the new baby!!

OMG the doggie is so cute dressed up. I can’t believe it is actually sleeping with the costume on. So funny. I just love it!
