That sounds like a great party. Lucky girl! Your hubby sounds like a keeper too! My hubby does lots of things to help, but I’d say the biggest thing is that he does almost all the cooking and the grocery shopping. Since I don’t like to cook, it makes me very happy that he does! He’s also is so great about always buying me the best presents for Christmas or birthdays. He picks out the perfect things for me.

I can’t believe the lengths that this man went to surprise his wife on her birthday. That’s really amazing. I can’t imagine my husband ever pulling something like that off, mostly because I’m “Julie Cruise Director” around here and he would have no idea how to go about planning a party.

He’s always going out of his way for me, though. He’s big on small everyday gestures, I guess you could say. Like when I couldn’t figure out Paintshop Pro to make a blog button yesterday, he stayed home from work for two hours to create one for me. Gotta love a man who takes your blog seriously. -Julia

My husband is always VERY thoughtful about the gifts that he gives. I have always loved writing, and years before I had a blog, he was trying to encourage me in that. So for Christmas I got a beautiful leather journal with a bunch of refills, some very nice pens, and a book that gives a person writing fodder for each day.

I love cookies. One Valentine’s Day I came home to a plate of cookies that said “I Love You” in white chocolate chips. The plate was surrounded by burning candles. And he had made the cookies himself!

I could go on and on, but he is just very thoughtful like that. Great guy.
