Holiday Printables – Cardinal Gift Pack
Posted by Amy | Filed under Amy's Printables, Christmas
For all you last minute gift planners like me, here is a printable pack I designed for you! I was inspired to do something red by all of the cardinals in my garden. This label is stapled to a sandwich bag full of peppermint treats. A simple, yet original gift!
In this pack you get a sandwich bag label, a small gift bag, circle tags, and small gift tags. The pack includes four items of each saying… Seasons Greetings & Merry Christmas.
You’ll never run out of tags, just print more when you need more! I like to print tags on sticker paper. You can find it at Staples or Office Max.

I Heart Faces – Sweet Dreams

I ♥ Faces “Sweet Dreams” Photo Challenge
I don’t think I’ve ever taken a photo of my kids sleeping… just never thought about it. So late last night I got out my camera, after my son and I had been gone ALL DAY sorting, wrapping and bagging over 300 + toys for the toy drive I head up for my community. We were so tired! He made me proud by sticking with me all day and only having to be yelled at a few times for being crazy:-) It was worth it because, he knows that Christmas is not about getting, but giving. He’s a wild child, so seeing him calm like this is rare! I love it!!
* I’m one of the Co-Founders of I ♥ Faces and doing this just for fun, no winning for me.*
Come on over to I ♥ Faces and share a photo with us! Enter Monday & Tuesday.
We also have a fun photo contest coming up where you can win a Tamron Lens! Don’t miss out on the fun, check it out!
I Heart Faces Fix-it Friday

It wasn’t until I started I Heart Faces and got into photography that I realized most photos you see are NOT straight out of the camera. I knew there was airbrushing, blurring of the backgrounds and switching of heads involved because I had done that in my graphic design business. It was the actions, overlays and textures that I didn’t know about.
Photographers these days have a lot of tricks to make photos look better. That’s why we started Fix-It Friday, where you take an ordinary photo and give it that WOW factor. It’s fun to see what a bunch of people do to the same photo!
This is the original photo that was submitted this week. It’s a great photo, but a little muddy looking and has a really cool tone to it.
Here are some edits I made in Photoshop. I won’t go into details, but basically I tilted the photo so his head was straight, gave it a warmer tone, sharpened his eyes and mouth, then added those cool light dots we call “Bokeh” to the background. If you watch movies, you’ll notice them everywhere in the background!
I recently met Patti Brown who has the coolest textures and overlays. She gave me her Kaleidoscope Collection to try out and I love the Bokeh overlays because I can’t always get that to work in my photos. I think this middle photo is my favorite…

Go visit I Heart Faces to see what our awesome contributing photographers did to this photo, then add your own. It’s so fun!
Have a great weekend! – Amy
